In Arc 2, the d.school team and additional designers from the professional design community worked with teachers and staff in action-learning, school-driven design challenges. These deep dives helped each school team shape their identity within their school context and develop a replicable design process for any challenges they might face. The end result is learning and impact on the team and school level.
As the year has progressed, we have experimented with different models for our deep dive experiences with the d.home schools. We have worked with schools for a few hours a week over the course of a month; we have also worked with schools (and an entire district!) in short, intense sprints in a singe day.
